Julley! Welcome to our orchards

Our Story

How the harvest of Ladakh’s remote villages finds its way to your table.

Where our fruit grows

Orchards on the roof of the world

Ladakh is a high-altitude cold desert, ringed by the Himalaya and the Karakoram. Its summers are short, its sunshine is bright and its nights are cold. In the river valleys, village families tend small orchards of apricot and apple trees fed by glacier streams.

Apricots have been grown and sun-dried here for generations. Every summer, families pick the fruit by hand and dry it on rooftops in the clear mountain air, as their parents and grandparents did before them.

What we stand for

Fair to growers

The store exists to help village families earn a better, steadier income from their harvest.

Made in the village

Fruit is dried, cooked and pressed in small batches by the people who grow it.

Rooted in tradition

We honour the way Ladakhi families have cared for their orchards for generations.

Why Julley Orchards

From remote valleys to homes across India

Growing great fruit is only half the story. Many families live far from the nearest market, roads close in winter, and selling beyond the valley has never been easy.

Julley Orchards was created to close that gap. Run with the support of Tata Trust, the store gathers village produce, packs it carefully in Leh and sends it to customers across India, so more of the value stays with the families who grow it.

Julley is how Ladakhis say hello, thank you and goodbye. We hope every jar feels like a warm Julley from the mountains.
